matters of consequence
School is back in session but i still feel like I am enjoying a break (no complaints). Living at home and only taking two classes have turned out to be good decisions. I have always thought that most people are too busy and simply need to slow down to enjoy life (obviously not always possible). I decided that this semester i would slow down even more (even though i did not have a terribly fast-paced life before). I go to one class on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays and then basically "hang out", play music, read books, think, and sometimes work (which is also very enjoyable). There is a lot of time in a day (24 hours i guess:) and i love it!
In other news: I don't think i will ever "grow up" by the world's standards. Sure, there are responsibilities that I am forced to receive and shit that happens forcing me to grow up, but i hope i will always be able to see and enjoy life the way a 6 year old does - simply and full of wonder (like the little prince, bless his little heart)
I have been hunting for health insurance because i am no longer a full time student and therefore no longer on my parent's insurance. I hate insurance of any kind; it just doesn't make sense in my warped head. Short of moving to Canda (which is an option), can anyone point me in a good direction?
wow, looks like a good day to use parentheses, eh?
Final conundrum: Spring Break road trip with friends OR PLIA?
For what it's worth (probably very little without the rest of the book), here is another tid bit from a book I'm reading by mr. berry:
"...to come to that understanding [responsibility toward creation] we must leave the regions of our conquest - the cleared fields, towns and cities, the highways - and re-enter the woods. For only there can a man encoutner the silence and the darkness of his own absence. Only in this silence and darkness can he recover the sense of the world's longevity, of its ability to thrive without him, of his inferiority to it and his dependence on it. Perhaps then, having heard that silence and seen that darkness, he will grow humble before the place and begine to take it in..."

where are you? you never visit anymore.
PLIA!!!! In Kentucky you can “re-enter the woods” and “recover the sense of the world’s longevity” instead of staying in the “regions of our conquest” (i.e. Toronto). Like how I’m using your quote to my advantage? And I agree with Ross – where are you? OK, I know I just saw you tonight, but you still need to visit more . . .
